Duties and responsibilities: Senior Research Fellow is working under the supervision of Professor of Contemporary Estonian and Professor of Estonian Dialectology and History on the Estonian Language, fulfils the tasks of the target-financed research themes "Morphosyntactical structure and development of the Estonian language" and "Phonetic, phonological, and morphophonological regularities of Finno-Ugric languages". Senior Research Fellow is supervising the working group of Estonian dialects and dialect corpus and the compiling of the database of Estonian dialects and kindred languages. During the election period he/she has to do research for at least the bulk of doctoral dissertation. He/she is expected to be successful in securing research grants. Senior Research Fellow supervises bachelor, master and PhD students and gives lectures in his/her subjects. Required experience: The candidate must be independent researcher and must be capable of directing a research theme and supervising younger teaching staff members and research fellows, as well as Master’s and doctoral students. The candidates must be qualified to teach in their speciality on all levels of higher education. Candidates are required to engage in research on a constant basis: within the last five years they must have completed internationally recognised research equivalent to at least 2/3 of a doctoral thesis. Candidates are expected to be successful in securing research grants and performing the research required under those grants. A good candidate will have teaching experience in an establishment of higher education, will have experience in supervising the work of degree students and will have experience in management work and in the organisation of research. RESEARCH FELLOW IN FINNO-UGRIC LANGUAGES PHONETICS

Duties and responsibilities: Research Fellow in Finno-Ugric Languages Phonetics is an investigator who is working under the supervision of Professor of Estonian Dialectology and History of the Estonian Language. He/she does not fulfil a research theme or project independently. During the election period (3 years) he/she has to do research for at least two-thirds of the bulk of a doctoral dissertation. PROFESSOR IN PALEONTOLOGY AND STRATIGRAPHY

Structural unit: Institute of Geology
Duties and responsibilities: The Professor is in charge of the teaching staff in Paleontology and Stratigraphy. He/she directs the activities of his/her chair and is responsible for advancing its research. He/she plans and oversees the teaching of the speciality's subject(s) as well as the research carried out at the chair.
