March 1999 is coming near and Tartu is getting ready for the European Schools Project (ESP) annual meeting. Teachers, who

are all invited to participate in ESP'99 in Tartu (Estonia) 19-21 March 1999.

Conference site and how to get there

Conference will take place in the old university town Tartu in Estonia. There are about 100 000 inhabitants in Tartu, more than 10 000 of them are university students.

Tartu is situated 185km southeast from the capital of Estonia Tallinn. The airport in Tallinn has direct connection with many European cities. Ferries connect Tallinn with Helsinki and Stockholm. More than 40 busses go between Tallinn and Tartu every day from 4.50 to 23.00, plus some trains. An ordinary bus trip from Tallinn to Tartu will take 2.5 hours.

In Tartu the main conference site is the University of Tartu conference hall in the Chemistry building, 2 Jakobi Str. Sessions will be held in the building of Eurofaculty, 3 Lossi Str.

Fee:

Before the 1st March the conference fee is 140 EUR, this includes all meals. After 1st March 1999 the fee will be 165 EUR. In addition to the conference fee you will have to pay for the hotel. Three hotels and two small guesthouses have been reserved, all in a walking distance from the main conference site. The hotels (single and double rooms) are in the range of 20-35 EUR per person per night. Limited numbers of extra cheap places are available in a hostel. You'll pay for the hotel at the site, when already in Tartu.
