Dear Colleagues, guests, and friends,

We are very pleased to invite you to the international conference “Plant Abiotic Stress – from signaling to development” which is held in Estonia, Tartu – city of good thoughts!

Angel Bridge in Tartu

The aim of the International and Local Organizing Committees is to assemble a well balanced agenda with professional highlights and social events to be remembered. This year, the conference will be held in Estonia – a tiny but ambitious country in Northern Europe. Use this chance to come and see how much the country has developed during our 15 years of independance.

The meeting is organized by the European Union COST Action FA605 – International Network of Plant Abiotic stress (INPAS). The goal of INPAS is to build an international network of plant abiotic stress. The research priorities of the action are centered on complementary expertise allocated into four Working Groups:

1. Functional characterization of protein kinases.

2. Genetic identification of signaling factors.

3. Expression of genes involved in the production of osmo-protectants.

4. Integrated molecular analysis of the polyamine metabolic pathway.
