Ever since 1997 we have been holding an auction for old and rare books in the main building of University of Tartu and this event is always eagerly awaited by a wide range of biliophiles and libraries.

The auction committee called together for this purpose selectively accepts books, taking into consideration the books' substantial value as well as their value from the viewpoint of the history of books, their specific condition, rarity and demand. The auction focuses on Estonian publications and those written in Estonian.

 

Traditionally, we will publish a printed catalogue describing the books in detail, which also includes comments on the books' rarity and value for bibliophiles.
