When will I have to pay the tuition fee?

If you are a tuition-fee paying student...

... you will pay the tuition fee as a semester fee for the current semester. You will receive the invoice by email at least 14 days before the due date. The tuition fee must be paid by October 15 in the autumn semester and March 15 in the spring semester. You can also pay the tuition fee in a lump sum for the entire academic year. In that case the due date is October 15.

If you are a 1st-year student and fail to begin studies before October 31, you have to pay 20 percent of the tuition fee of the semester. This also applies if you interrupt your studies before October 31.

If you receive the tuition-waiver scholarship...

... you have to start paying the tuition fee only if you fail to study full time. A full-time student is supposed to get 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS per academic year. The payment threshold is 6 ECTS: if you get 24 ECTS by the end of semester, you do not have to pay yet. However, you need to get 60 ECTS by the end of the academic year: credit points are calculated cumulatively per semester. If you get 20 ECTS by the end of semester, you have to pay for 4 ECTS on the basis of the invoice prepared at the beginning of the next semester.
Different system may apply to the students enrolled to the Estonian group of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry.  Information on that will be available soon.
