Competition to study as an exchange student at Universdad Mayor for the academic year 2013/14

Pursuant to the cooperation agreement between the two universities, students from the University of Tartu have the chance to apply for a student exchange to the Universidad Mayor in Chile. More information about the university: Universidad Mayor.

Exchange students are guaranteed free tuition.

Language of instruction is Spanish. It is also possible to participate in the Intensive Spanish language course (for extra cost, before the beginning of the semester). More information: Intensive Spanish Course.

The competition is open to students from all study levels and specialities. Exchange students are not allowed to take courses from following faculties: Medicine, Conservatory of Music.

Requirements:
- Spanish language skills must be sufficient to study abroad and to take courses in Spanish.

Application documents:
- UT application for study abroad;
- Statement of purpose (letter of motivation, in English and in Spanish);
- Letter of recommendation from a supervisor or professor at UT (in English);
- Transcript of records from UT (with an average grade; in English); Master's and PhD level students must also submit a Diploma Supplement (in English) on the previous study level (ask for that at the International Student Service);
- Proof of Spanish language skills.

Students selected by the UT grant committee to Universidad Mayor must also submit:
- UM application;
- Sponsor letter;
- Copy of passport (page bearing personal details);
- 1 photo;
- Copy of health Insurance (must be sent to Universidad Mayor at least 2 weeks before arrival).
