Swiss-European Mobility Programme
Swiss-European Mobility Programme is higher-education programme proposed by the Swiss government, supporting exchange of students and academic personnel.
Student and teacher exchange is based on bilateral agreements signed for specific study fields between the institutes/schools/colleges of UT and academic units at partner universities.
The initial selection process is carried out by academic unit of UT, the final decision on accepting the student is made by the partner university.
UT students can apply to become an exchange student at Swiss-European Mobility programme partner institutions of their specialisation.
NB! You must have completed your first year of studies at the UT before going to study abroad (does not apply to Master's or PhD students);
Application deadline for studies is 8 March 2017. If there will be free places left additional application round for spring semester is organised in early autumn (August-September).
Applying is taking place in the academic units. All the documents must be submitted to Swiss-European Mobility programme coordinator (plase check the parter insitutions list):
- Swiss-European Mobility student exchange and traineeship application 2017/18;
- Motivation letter (reasons why you want to study at the particular university, on 1-2 pages);
- Transcript of Records from the UT (in English, including the average grade; ask from the Dean's Office); Master's and PhD level students must also submit a Diploma Supplement (in English) of the previous study level (you can ask that from your coordinator at the International Student Service);
- Certificate indicating command of the language of instruction of the foreign university (all international tests or tests taken in Estonia, including that of the UT Language Centre).
If you are interested of doing traineeship in Switzerland, please submit the application to the Traineeship Coordinator, Ms Piret Saluveer, in Study Abroad Centre. The internship is based on trilateral training agreement. The grant is applied for the trainee by the Swiss universities, so internships only in universities can have the grant. Traineeship applications should be submitted by 20 March 2017.
The programme provides free tuition at the partner university and a stipend of 420 Swiss francs for month (1 CHF=0.82 EUR). The amount of the grant is determined separately each year.
