Guidelines for equal treatment
The University of Tartu has prepared the guidelines for equal treatment to emphasise the importance of the university members’ wellbeing, good work and learning conditions and protection from unfair and unequal treatment.
Acknowledging diversity, respecting the rights of the university members and promoting equal treatment contributes to achieving the university’s strategic goals, supports an encouraging learning and work environment and values employees and students.” The aim of the guidelines is to provide an overview of the topics related to equal treatment and workplace bullying, give employees and students clear instructions on how to inform about a violation of the principles of equal treatment and describe the procedure of resolving discrimination and bullying cases.
Good practices support the values voiced in the University of Tartu strategic plan and the regulations provided in the bylaws, complying with good practices also assures that the university’s work environment corresponds to international academic standards. The compilation of several good practices which are important in the university’s work continues in the 2016/2017 academic year.
