Academica

The annual German-Estonian academic week Academica has been held at the University of Tartu since 1995. The goal of Academica is to strengthen links between German and Estonian researchers, to provide opportunities to build relationships and to listen to lectures by renowned German scholars and scientists.

Since 2007, the main focus of the Academica has turned to partner universities of the University of Tartu in Germany, with one selected for closer contact each year. In 2007, the Academica was dedicated to the University of Konstanz,  2008 to the University of Göttingen,  2009 to the University of Kiel, 2010 to the University of Münster, 2011 to the University of Greifswald.

The academic week is supported by the Federation of Employers' Associations of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Embassy in Estonia.
