Using the Library

In order to use theTartu University Library it is necessary to register at theInformation Point on the first floor of the library and get the library card. Library card costs 20 EEK for UT members and 25 EEK for others. You can also renew your book loan dates and pay forservices at the same Information Point.

At the beginning of every academic year, UT Library organizes an orientation session to introduce its collections, resources, services, and organization for new users. For assistance at other times you'll find help at the consultant desk on the second floor, where you can ask the consultant to help you to search the library catalogues, materials and databases or to find materials on some certain subjects.
