Monthly stipend "DoRa 9" for degree students in international Master degree programmes in English
In 2013/14 a certain number of monthly stipends will be available for international students newly admitted to one of the following UT international master´s degree programmes:
Applied Measurement Science
Baltic Sea Region Studies
European Union - Russian Studies
Financial Mathematics
Semiotics
Software Engineering
Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management
Design and Development of Virtual Environments
Sound Engineering Arts
The scholarship is 288 EUR per month and it is paid from September to June for one academic year only.
There is no special application form for this stipend: when students apply for admission by the stated application deadline, they are considered automatically for DoRa 9 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded to the first year master level students based on a student's academic record (admission rank). Scholarships shall be processed in accordance with the quota allocated to UT, each programme gets a number of stipends to be granted to international students. Ranking for DoRa scholarships is based on admission results and UT compiles separate ranking list for each programme.
In the academic year 2013/2014, the second year international students of above listed master's programmes may also apply for a DoRa stipend if the particular programme decides to allocate some stipends to second year students. Information on that will be availabe in May 2013.
Other conditions for this stipend:
- You are expected to remain in Estonia for the whole academic year, except for short visits to conferences or to your home country. Should you leave Estonia for more than one month at a time, you will not be paid the scholarship for that period.
- Throughout your studies you are entitled to request academic leave and to apply for an extension of the period of studies in the same way as other students studying in Estonia. You will not be paid the grant during academic leave or any extension period.
- The scholarship does not cover the cost of tuition or travel. However you are eligible to apply for the DoRa conference grant in addition to the stipend.
