Dr. Emma Sorbring to deliver a public lecture at UT
An associate Professor and a Senior Lecturer of Psychology at University West will hold a public lecture "Parent Behavior and Child Adjustment Across Cultures" on 11th of February at 14.15-15.45 ".
Emma Sorbring’s research concerns parenthood and the development of children and young people.
Public lecture examines how parents' discipline strategies and other aspects of parent-child relationships affect children's development. An international group of researchers is conducting interviews with children, mothers and fathers in nine countries (China, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, and United States). In the present talk the project will be presented as well as some aspects of parenting from both a general and a culture perspective. Results from the study will be discussed.
The lecture will be held in English in Lossi 36-214.
