Erik Puura to front UTs innovation and technology development

From Sept 1st, Erik Puura, former Director of UT Technology Institute, will lead UTs innovation and technology relations as Vice Rector for Development.

With this, Rector's Office includes three Vice Rectors: for Research, for Academic Affairs and for Development. The area of activity for new Vice Rector will be fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.

Erik Puura was born on 14th of May 1964. He got his PhD in 1998 from the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology. He has been the Director of UT Technology Institute since 2007 and he has been responsible for UTs innovation and entreprise relations since 2009.
