Learn Estonian Business Language Online!
The scientists of UT Faculty of Economics and Business Administration have completed a web site where one can learn Estonian business language online. It's for free and mostly meant for foreigners who want to learn Estonian but also for everyone interested inimproving their language skills.
The web page was set up as a part of European Union project "Multilingual Intercultural Business Communications in Europe" - similar web environments have been created also in Germany, Latvia, Rumenia, Slovakia etc.
The UT project leader, researher in Faculty of Economy, Anne Aidla stated that all the topics in e-learning environment are connected to marketing, leadership, service and communication between different cultures - in one word useful for poeple who have their interest in business and economy. "Yet, the page can be of help to anyone who is currently learning Estonian and wish to increase their vocabulary. This web site is the only one in Estonia dedicated to e-learning of Estonian business language. There are all kinds of language courses online but this one is the first to specially concentrate on business," she added.
On the web page one can watch videos, listen to audiofiles, read differents texts and take tests - the correct answers will immediately appear on screen. The tests will develop different skills - reading, listening, speaking and writing - and they are easy and comfortable to take.
The main goal of the project is to incite business communication in less spread European languages.
The web page is free and can be found here: http://estmigkomm.jimdo.com/
