Public lecture on an insider’s view on corporate security

Aleksei Gorny from KPMG will hold a public lecture "An insider's view on corporate security" on May 2 at 16:00 in J. Liivi 2, room 405 (4th floor).

Gorny asks, how difficult is it to hack into large companies and are there many people who get away with this? In this session, I would like to share a few insights gained from working as a security consultant and red team lead for some of the world’s biggest firms. I will outline the key methodologies our team uses to break into IT networks, say a few words about our track record, and discuss the security challenges firms face when securing their systems.

The second part of the session will be concerned with a network monitoring case study that shows the scale of malicious activity on a typical corporate network today. I will then conclude with a look into the future and some cautiously optimistic observations.
