World's most influential economy consultant to deliver a public lecture at the UT
Most influential economy consultant and economy professor at the Waseda Business School Kazunari Uchida will hold a public lecture “The Past and the Future of Japanese Companies” on March 5, 10:30 at the University of Tartu, Faculty of Economics.
Uchida will talk about the possibilities on how Japan companies should solve their actual problems, as well as what they should do in their relations with foreign governments and foreign companies for their future survival in global market.
Professor Uchida worked for Japan Airlines before joining The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 1985, where he took several important posts such as the head of the Japan office from June 2000 to December 2004. Moreover, he was named one of the world's top 25 most influential consultants in Consulting Magazine (2006). At the moment Professor Uchida works in the University of Waseda, with which the University of Tartu has a cooperation agreement already since 2003.
Lecture is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan and is one of several lectures mediated by the Embassy to the University of Tartu.
The lecture will be conducted in English, at the University of Tartu, Faculty of Economics, Narva St 4, room 313.
