Raising Awareness of Science

In addition to everyday research work, scientists at the University of Tartu also actively engage in raising awareness of science among science enthusiasts of all ages.

To cater to the interests of younger science enthusiasts, the university has established the Gifted and Talented Development Centre.

In co-operation with the Estonian Physical Society, UT created a popular science bus project - a traveling laboratory that allows science-inclined pupils of schools located in remote areas to explore scientific mysteries and advance their understanding of science.

In order to raise the general public's awareness of science, the University of Tartu also cooperates with the Science Centre AHHAA and manages the science news portal Novaator (in Estonian).
