Master’s students’ semester abroad (ESF DoRa 7)

Within the framework of Action 7 of the ESF DoRa programme, Master's students can apply for the scholarship to take study courses at a foreign university once during their master's studies.
Support is available in taking an integral study period abroad (semester/trimester), but not for less than 1 month or longer than 6 months. Students can select the foreign university themselves - in order to apply, they need the invitation letter (letter of admission) from their host university.
Grants are available to University of Tartu Master's students of all accredited study programmes and students of integrated studies (starting from the 4th year of integrated studies) who have shown good academic results and have selected the theme for their Master's thesis. DoRa 7 scholarship holders must take courses at foreign university for at least 4 ECTS per month or 20 ECTS per semester.
DoRa 7 scholarship covers the travel expenses and living costs - the amount of the scholarship depends on the host country.

Application documents:
- ESF DoRa 7 application;
- Statement of purpose (letter of motivation);
- An overview of master's thesis (except for the programmes that end with final examination);
- Letter of recommendation from a supervisor or professor at UT;
- Invitation letter (letter of admission) from host institution;
- Transcript of records from UT.
Application deadlines for the academic year 2013/14:
- May 15, 2013 (for autumn and spring semester 2013/14);
- October 17, 2013 (for spring semester 2013/14).
Application documents must be submitted to the UT International Student Service (hard copies).
NB! Letter of motivation needs to be sent also by email to piret [dot] must [ät] ut [dot] ee (in addition to hard copies).
