There is always something fun going on in Tartu.

UT has numerous student clubs and associations that are open to all international students. Our students who are active in sports are among the fastest and strongest in the world.

Traditional Events

Each academic year starts with freshman days and one can find a social activity every day. Our students organize food fests, international film nights, sledging, sauna days, bog-walking weekends, and much more. The highlights of each semester are the Spring and Autumn Student Days, filled with dozens of entertaining and educating events, competitions and festivals. During that academic organizations organize academic and social events, torch parades and Volber-night festivities.

Student Organizations 

Our Erasmus Student Network is one of the strongest and active ones in the region providing a very memorable multicultural experience.

ESN organizes among other events also dance classes, international food fests, trips and national evenings.

Estonia is a country of music!

Friendly student environment will encourage you to meet musicians all around Tartu and form music bands or perform at festivals personally. Check out our Jam Session events!

Fond of sports?

UT Academic Sports Club has been the most successful athletics club in Estonia for over 100 years.  Our athletes have performed in Olympics and there are also plenty of opportunities for amateur sports.  Tartu University Academic Sports Club provides training facilities in 20 different sports on different levels.

International students are constantly organizing football and basketball trainings. Additionally, you may take part in all kinds of sport circles, join classes, do gym and participate in all kind of marathons.
