Life in UT Campus Towns
The University of Tartu has 9 faculties and 4 colleges. The faculties and one of the colleges, Euro College, are located in Tartu. Other three colleges are located in Pärnu (Pärnu College), Viljandi (Viljandi Culture Academy) and Narva (Narva College).
English language is the most-used language of international communication in academic circles of the university. English and Russian is broadly used in everyday life, though the younger generation prefers English. Taxi and bus drivers will speak some English and Russian as well documents in the migration office are available in both languages. A lot of signage in the streets and public places is in English, as are the menus in restaurants.
