What does Alumnus/Alumni mean?
The word "alumnus" (fem. "alumna") is originally Latin, meaning meaning "apprentice" or "protegé." Nowadays, a former student is referred to as an alumnus/alumni.
Who can be an Alumnus/Alumna?
The University of Tartu Alumni are foremost our graduates.
Why are the Alumni activities important?
The Alumni are important embassadors, who can return much of their knowledge and experiences from their working life. This can be done through, for instance, mentoring or guest lecturing. In exchange, the Alumni will be able to receive news, offers on further education, invitations to lectures and events.
How do I log on to the Alumni database?
If you state your e-mail address when you register, a letter of welcome with your user name and password will automatically be sent to that address.
My password does not work. What should I do?
Make sure you haven’t accidentally hit the Caps Lock-key on your keyboard. Make sure you have typed in the correct user name. It might also be a good idea to change web browser. If you still cannot log on to the Alumni database, please contact the database administrator, alumni@ut.ee .

The Alumni Relations coordinator is contact for those wishing to get in touch with fellow graduates. Due to Data Protection Legislation we cannot release the contact details of our alumni but we can make contact on your behalf. How can I order a duplicate degree certificate/endorsed academic transcript/confirmation of degree letter?
