The Department of English Language and Literature

The English programme at the University of Tartu is a great choice for any young person interested in the English language, literatures written in English and the society and culture of the English-speaking world. Although traditional humanities are the core of the curriculum, the programme is open to contemporary world, with an emphasis on intercultural communication.
