XVIII IFUSCO
International Finno-Ugrist Students' Conference
will be held in Izhkar, Udmurtia,
16-20 May 2001


The conference is divided into 7 sections:

  1. linguistics;
  2. literature and arts;
  3. folklore and spiritual culture;
  4. history;
  5. sociology, demography etc.;
  6. pedagogy and methodics;
  7. international relations.


The official languages of the conference are all Finno-Ugric languages, Russian, English and German; the abstracts should be in either Estonian, Finnish, Hungarian, Russian, German or English and include information about the language of the actual presentation - the abstract and the presentation should not be in the same language. The length of the presentations should be 15-20 minutes.

The deadline for registrations is January 15, 2001; the abstracts (format: MS Word, 1 A4 page, font Times New Roman 12 pt) should be submitted by March 1. The admission fee is 100 roubles for Russian citizens, 100 USD for foreigners, including housing and meals. (The transportation and visa costs must be covered by the participants themselves.)

The participants of IFUSCO are also allowed to attend to the international symposium on deictics in Izhkar (May 22-25); please inform the organisers if you want to use this opportunity.
