When submitting your documents, the following country-specific requirements apply in addition to general and programme-specific admission requirements.
All applicants applying to master's or PhD programmes must ask their previous educational institution to send their Transcript of Records and certified copy of the diploma (degree certificate) directly to the University of Tartu. It should be noted that the Higher National Diploma and degrees classified as "3rd Class Honours" or "Pass" do not grant access to master's or PhD level programmes.
All applicants to bachelor's programmes who have West African Senior School Certificate must ask the examination certificate to be sent directly to the University of Tartu or send us an unused scratch card for verification. All applicants to bachelor's programmes who have a certificate of Nigeria National Examinations Council (NECO) must ask the examination certificate to be sent directly to the University of Tartu or send us an unused scratch card for verification. Used scratch cards or copies are not acceptable.
All applicants to bachelor's programmes must order the Confirmation of Examination Results from the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board for each level and each year. Confirmation should be sent in a closed envelope directly by the Board to the University of Tartu based on the request of the applicant.
All applicants to master's or PhD programmes from Bangladesh must ask their previous educational institution to send the official copy of their diploma and Transcript of Records directly to the University of Tartu in a sealed envelope.
All applicants from Canada must ask their Transcript of Records from their previous educational institution and have it sent directly to the University of Tartu in a sealed envelope.
Applicants to bachelor`s level must submit:
All copies must be officially certified and presented in the original language and in English. Credentials Report/Verification Report that proves the authenticity of the Gaokao exam certificate must be requested (in English) from the Chinese competent authority: China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center or China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center.
All applicants to master's or PhD level programmes from China must order a verification report of their degree certificate and official transcript from the China Higher-education Student Information and Career Center or from the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center and submit a hard or electronic copy of the verification report (in English) to the University of Tartu. Additionally, certified copies of the degree certificate, graduation certificate and final transcript must be submitted (in the original language with official translation into English).
All applicants from India must ask their previous educational institution to send the official copy of their diploma/qualification certificate and Transcript of Records/grade list directly to the University of Tartu in a sealed envelope.
Official translations into English must be made at a Translation Office accredited by Ministry of Justice.

Applicants to master's or PhD programmes must have the copies certified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) http://www.hec.gov.pk. Applicants to bachelor's programmes must have their secondary school certificates certified by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) http://www.ibcc.edu.pk/attestation.php.
Applicants to bachelor's degree programmes from Russia must submit a certified statement concerning their national state examination results (EG) in addition to their secondary school level diploma and grade list. The certificate should be issued by the relevant school authority. Secondary school graduates of the current year may upload a copy of their online results at the state portal and provide log-in credentials for http://check.ege.edu.ru/ so their results could be verified.
Applicants who need to submit their secondary school certificates (applicants to bachelor's programmes) must additionally send a certified copy of their National Entrance Examination (ÖSS/YGS-LYS) exam result.
All applicants from the USA must order their official transcript to be sent from the previous education institution they attended and have it mailed to the University of Tartu in a sealed envelope. Degree certificate is not required.
