For detailed descriptions of the listed courses usea numerical course code ora course name for searching purposes in the Study Information System https://www.is.ut.ee/pls/ois/tere.tulemast .
For general information, about the courses available, the System is accessible without usernames.
To get a list of courses taught in English, German, Russian or Estonian at any faculty, please act according to the following instructions: - Go to the link "Courses" on the very first page of the System. - Select the faculty/department you wish to take the courses from. - Make sure that the program is confirmed for your intended study period (e.g 2008/2009 autumn). - Change the "unidentified" from the drop down menu next to the study period into "full-time". - Select the language of teaching from the bottom right side.
PS! It is extremely important to choose the correct (1) faculty, (2) study period, (3) "full-time" studies and (4) "language of teaching". Otherwise the system gives you too many options (including courses in different languages of instruction and time periods).
Please pay attention to a course level, in case of some faculties (such as Mathematics and Computer Science etc) we recommend that incoming students should check a list of prerequisite courses, for that matter use our Study Information System.
International exchange students can register to courses through Study Information System within the first two weeks of a semester. Theautumn semester 2009 starts on August 31. If you arrive later, after the first two weeks, you can still register, but you need to contact the dean’s office of the faculty you are registered to as a student and they can help you with course registrations. Thus later arrival does not automatically mean that there is no possibility to join courses, if there are still vacant places available.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to have more information on the courses.
Looking forward to see you in Tartu!
