To learn about teaching, curricula, organisation of studies, support services, etc, there are three regular feedback surveys carried out among students at the University of Tartu:
- Feedback survey on teaching and courses
- Feedback survey of first-year students
- Feedback survey of final-year students
The procedure of how the university-wide feedback surveys in degree study are carried out, including the analysis, publication and use of survey results is regulated by the document named Procedure For Asking and Taking into Account Feedback in Degree Study
The feedback is taken into account to improve teaching and learning activities. For a teacher, students feedback gives information on how to improve teaching, while programme managers, deans and other managers obtain information on what must be adjusted in the content and structure of curricula, organisation of studies, student counselling, etc. Feedback results are also used in planning the in-service training of teachers and in re-electing teachers.
Surveys are carried out via the SIS (Study Information System) and are anonymous.
