On Wednesday, November 6, everyone is welcome to attend the astronomy seminar at Tartu Observatory in Tõravere. Maret Einasto will make a presentation “The supercluster A2142: a textbook example of the evolution of structures in the cosmic web, or the greatest mystery in the Universe?”.
Summary
"I will talk about our study of the galaxy supercluster A2142 and its environment, with the aim to understand how the supercluster and its components evolve in the cosmic web. We use catalogues of galaxy groups, filaments, and superclusters from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey to determine the structure of A2142 supercluster and its environment, and to analyse the dynamical state, connectivity, and galaxy populations in the supercluster and around it."
See you in Tõravere!
