In 1971, the Harvard political philosopher John Rawls published “A Theory of Justice”, considered by many to be the most influential work of political philosophy in the 20th century.
Rawls’s consideration of questions of social justice reshaped the entire field of political philosophy and sparked a decades-long debate over distributive justice.
The online conference on 4 March is dedicated to John Rawls's 100th birthday and will discuss his legacy and criticism.
