Conference "Sagas, Legends and Trolls - The Supernatural from Early Modern Back to Old Norse Tradition" will be arranged by the Department of Scandinavian Studies in Tartu on 12-14 June, 2014.
The aim of the conference is to facilitate the incorporation of folkloristic material and approaches into Old Norse studies as well as to encourage the use of Scandinavian material from the 1400s through to the 1600s to throw new light on the earlier traditions about supernatural beings, encounters and events in Old Norse literature.
There is no conference fee. If you would like to attend, please contact the organisers, Prof. Daniel Sävborg, University of Tartu (daniel.savborg [at] ut.ee), and Dr. Karen Bek-Pedersen, University of Southern Denmark (karen [at] bek-pedersen.dk) before May 1st.
