European College of the University of Tartu invites you to a public lecture
“Expectations of Riga Summit under the scope of EU integration and Moldova association agreement”
by Mrs Tatiana Gindea, Counsellor at the Embassy of The Republic of Moldova to Estonia, and
Mr Tiit Vapper, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in Estonia, IT-entrepreneur and eGovernance pioneer
15 April 2015, 12.15–14.00 at Lossi 36, room 103
The event is organised by the European College in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Estonia to provide deeper knowledge about the current relationship between European Union and Moldova and discuss expectations from the Riga Summit 2015.
The European Union’s relationship with Eastern Europe is at a turning point due to tensions in the region. The changed political situation has important consequences for the Eastern Partnership countries, since they will need to make a choice between East and West. Government officials, business leaders, technology developers, and language researchers will gather in Riga on April 27-29 to forge a unified vision for the multilingual digital single market.
The EU's relationship with the Republic of Moldova goes beyond cooperation, encompassing economic integration and deeper political cooperation. The two parties have already signed an Association Agreement in the margins of the EU summit held on 27 June 2014.
Discussion language is English.
