Letter of Motivation
A letter of motivation should:
- be an honest and well-reasoned statement on why the applicant is the best candidate;
- include a general description of intentions: the courses the applicant would like to take at foreign university, professors they would like to work with etc.;
- show how the applicant’s current achievements are linked to their need to study at a foreign university;
- state what the outcome of studies should be and how it is related to their studies at the University of Tartu;
- be written so that it is interesting to read and attracts attention;
- be 1–1,5 pages long;
- have the applicant’s name on the upper corner of every page;
- end with the applicant’s name and signature.
