Ministry of Foreign Affairs scholarships
In March 2019, we will provide information for the academic year 2019/2020 regarding the programmes that have these scholarships and how many scholarships will be available.
The following information is about the year 2018, when stipends were available for the following master´s programmes:
- Computer Science
- Geoinformatics for Urbanised Society
- Information Technology Law
- Robotics and Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Applied Measurement Science
- Innovation and Technology Management
- Quantitative Economics
The scholarships provide a stipend of 400 EUR per month for two years (standard study period of Master’s studies - altogether 20 months). The only exception is Information Technology Law which is a 1-year programme and thus the stipend is paid for one year (10 months). The scholarship does not cover tuition fee. However, in all programmes listed above there are tuition-waivers available for the best applicants (allocated based on admissions ranking lists).
How to apply?
The process described next will be the same for the year 2019. In 2018, applicants were required to meet all admission requirements and submit the full package of application documents (please find more information on the website of your chosen study programme). All applicants from target countries applying for the eligible programmes were automatically considered for the scholarships, no addtional application was needed. Scholarships were allocated to the best applicants based on the admissions ranking lists (each programme separately). Only well motivated candidates with good academic performance and properly prepared admission package were considered. The students who had not graduated by the admission deadline were still eligible, provided that the rest of the admission documents were properly prepared. We do not request for any additional documents to be submitted except for the ones required by the study programme(s) you are applying for.
Announcement of results
Like last year, the best applicants will be offered scholarship (no additional application needed) and we inform them about scholarship together with the admissions notifications in May 2019.
