Regardless their previous musical training, everyone may participate. For a successful and meaningful studies one should reserve approximately 30 min of practicing time per day, five days a week during this course.
The students who have successfully passed the course will get certificate of University of Tartu.
The aim of the instructors is to teach basic accompaniment skills on an acoustic guitar, play through the most common chord progressions and thus lay a foundation for continuing individual studies. Every participant will receive feedback from the lecturers and the MatchMySound web-based automated feedback engine. The latter will be used for the first time ever in the context of fully web-based music instrument course.
A practical course for learning how to construct, finger and change the most common chord shapes on a six-string guitar; compose and play the right hand strum patterns; play the six popular chord progressions that are ubiquitous in the 20th century popular music.
To graduate, one has to aquire and submit the assigned exercises via the MatchMySound (TM) web application.
After graduating this course, one
