Discussion day on energy policy
We are pleased to invite you to attend a discussion day on energy policy on November 4, 2014 at Energy Discovery Centre (Põhja pst 29, Tallinn).
“Is Democracy Depending on Energy Nowadays? EU and Russia Relations and EU`s Sustainable Independence on Energy Affairs“
It is well known fact that between Russia and Europe there is a mutual dependence in the energy sector, presenting a great challenge for both sides. Growing import dependence from Russia and the high rates of the purchase prices are the main problems for Europe in the means of Energy trade. The most difficult problem for Russia is their unilateral economic structure which is heavily affected by the price fluctuations on the international market.
Speakers are various energy experts from Estonia and abroad. This event is organized by the European College of University of Tartu in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Estonia Office. The event will be held in English and last from 13.00 to 16.00.
Free transportation from Tartu is available. The bus departures at 10 am from the lower parking lot in front of the theatre Vanemuine (Vanemuise 6, Tartu) and brings people back after the event. When registering please indicate do you want to book a seat for yourself.
