Public Lecture by Former White House Physician

Prof. Mohr has been closely connected with health issues among the top leaders in the USA. The lecture will be based on his experience as the White House physician under presidents Reagan, G.H.W. Bush and Clinton, from 1987 to 1993.
Lawrence C. Mohr, who also has extensive military experience, is currently Professor of Medicine, Biometry & Epidemiology and Director of the Environmental Biosciences Program at the Medical University of South Carolina, as well as honorary doctor of Nebraska Wesleyan University. His research interests also include pulmonary disease, environmental medicine (such as high altitude physiology and
pathophysiology) and clinical epidemiology.
Prof Lawrence C. Mohr's visit to the University of Tartu is taking place through the University of Tartu and Nebraska Wesleyan University cooperation programme, with support from the Harry and Rebecca Huge Foundation.
Prof. Mohr is also giving a lecture intended primarily for medical doctors and teachers on April 16th, at 14:00 in the Linkberg Auditorium (Puusepa 8). The lecture is entitled „Hypoxia and the Physiology of Man at Altitude”.
