A UT Doctoral Student and Two Post-Docs Received Scholarships from the Swiss Rectors Foundation
From the University of Tartu, Ülo Siirak, a second-year doctoral student of classical philology (supervised by Prof. Kristi Viiding) received a scholarship from the Swiss Rectors Foundation. The scholarship gives Siirak the chance to continue writing his doctoral thesis at the University of Bern with Professor Gerlinde Huber-Rebenich.
Post-doc Aire Raidvee was nominated for a scholarship so she could continue her studies at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (supervised by Prof. Jüri Allik), and post-doc Hannes Luidalepp to continue his studies at the University of Bern (supervised by Prof. Tanel Tenson).
There were 170 applications altogether for the scholarship. The scholarship was given to 80 young researchers of the European Union. Sciex, an Estonian-Swiss collaboration program, appointed five scholarships altogether in Estonia with total sum of 400,000 Swiss francs.
