UT to Start Cooperation with Tongji University of China
Monday, 15th of August the distinguished delegation from Tongji University (China) will visit the University of Tartu. The guests will take a short tour in university campus and sign joint cooperation agreement.
The high rank delegation includes Prof. Chen Xiaolong, Executive Vice President of TU; Prof. Lou Yongqi, Executive Vice Director of Sino-Finnish Centre, Vice Dean of Design and Innovation and and Prof. Liu Shuguang, Vice Director of Human Resource Office. From University of Tartu the guests will be greeted by Vice Rector for Accademic Affairs, Mr Kristjan Haller.
According to Mr Haller, the Tongji University has shown great interest to UT. "The exact cooperation directions will of course be settled during the meeting but it seems that the Chinese are particulary interested in our IT and Chemistry science areas," Haller added.
The representatives of Tongji University will take a closer tour around in University of Tartu and sign a cooperation agreement. On the meeting with UT reps a topic of direct cooperation possibilities between two universities will be discussed, as also other ways for cooperation alongside with different European universities.
