Estonian Ministry of the Interior is starting a new welcoming programme aimed at foreign nationals who have legally resided in Estonia for less than 5 years. New arrivals are also invited. Various informative and interactive seminars and training sessions provide skills and knowledge that are helpful in settling in, living smooth daily life and establishing beneficial contacts. The programme consists of 7 modules (5-12 hour each) giving an overview and practical tips on working, entrepreneurship, research, family life, culture, studying, etc. It is possible to freely select the topics. The programme also contains an Estonian language basic level course (level A1, 80h). The trainings are in English and Russian and take place in Tartu, Tallinn and Narva and are free of charge. In order to apply, an enrolment form must be filled and submitted to the Police and Border Guard Board. Participants can register to a suitable training module only after having recieved the notification of acceptance. Please find more information on the programmes’ web-page.
