How to become an International Student Ambassador

All international degree-seeking students of the University of Tartu can apply for the International Student Ambassadors programme. The call for new ambassadors opens in September every year. You can find the online application form on this website during the application period. If accepted, you should expect to be with us for at least one year.

All ISAs are divided into teams, which they can choose when applying: Facebook, Telegram, Events, and Video. Further information about the structure and duties of ISAs is available here

Why join the International Student Ambassadors?

  • A great addition to your CV and demonstrates your advanced organisational skills;
  • Giving advice to prospective students and sharing your experience is a good way of giving back and helping students who are in the same position as you were not long ago;
  • Gain valuable practical skills, e.g. public speaking, writing, and presentation skills;
  • Opportunity to lead projects and gain valuable project management and team-leading experience;
  • Opportunity to build your network - meet new people from Estonia and abroad;
  • Be the face of the university and represent the international student body of UT.

All new members will receive a UT t-shirt and a hoodie, a profile on the website, an opportunity to lead projects and participate in cool motivational events, and training. At the end of your studies, you will receive a certificate signed by the Rector and a recommendation letter from the International Cooperation and Protocol Office.
