Duties and responsibilities
  • Teaching Estonian as a foreign language to adult learners at various levels (0-C1) in a multicultural classroom.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct online and partially web-based courses.
  • Preparation of teaching materials and methodological activities.
  • Active participation in developing practical teaching of Estonian as a foreign language.
  • In-service training in teaching skills. 

Required qualifications
Master's degree (preferably in teaching Estonian language and literature or in teaching Estonian as a foreign language).

Required experience
  • At least three years of experience teaching Estonian as a foreign language in higher education institutions to adult learners at different levels in a multicultural classroom.
  • Familiarity with contemporary teaching materials, learning environments (incl. electronic ones), and teaching methods and their development.
  • Professional and technological skills and competence in producing supplementary teaching materials.
  • Experience of working in a team.

Required language skills
Proficiency in Estonian as a mother tongue or at C1 level, excellent knowledge of English, preferably proficiency in one additional foreign language.

If the candidate has acquired the higher education in question abroad, he or she may be required to submit an assessment issued by the Academic Recognition Information Centre (the Estonian ENIC/NARIC) of his or her qualification in respect of the qualification requirements for the position.
  5. Other materials considered relevant by the candidate (a list of such materials must be included in the application or annexed to it).
